Manchester Academy 1 tickets & upcoming events

Manchester Academy 1 is one of those venues that just oozes character and raw energy. It’s right in the heart of Manchester and has a reputation for hosting some of the best live gigs around. The crowd? Always buzzing, packed with music lovers who really make the place come alive. I mean, it’s not unusual to see a sea of excited faces singing along to legendary bands and fresh new acts alike. The venue got a bit of a makeover in 2026, upgrading safety measures without losing that gritty, intimate vibe we all love. Remember when The Libertines played an impromptu set in 2015? That was one of those nights everyone still talks about. Or how about when The Stone Roses graced the stage back in 1995 and cemented their place in Manchester’s legendary music scene? The upper level is pretty cool too, giving you a closer feel with its own bar – perfect for those moments when you want to be right in the thick of it. And honestly, it’s a breeze to get there, just a short walk from the art gallery, heading down Mosley Road then onto Oxford Road. Whether you're after front-row seats for Warren Zeiders or VIP perks for Charlie Puth, the seating chart makes choosing easy. So grab your mates, find your spot, and get ready for some unforgettable nights at Manchester Academy 1. Trust me, once you go, you’ll keep coming back.
